The Paris House Judgement has been made!
Following on from last week’s Judgement of Paris House where France squeezed past Italy due to the complete thrashing of the Tuscan red by the Bordeaux, last night saw the second round where voting was much closer.
Interestingly, 3 results were reversed; the Italian sparkling took the honours, the French white won the first course & Tuscany got its revenge on Bordeaux, just!
With the dessert course a tie, this time Italy just sneaked past France, so overall Thomas & Howie have settled on an honourable draw!
Two wines stood out as both cruised to easy wins on each occasion, the silky smooth Pinot Noir from Muré in the Alsace, and the elegant, textured Terlaner Cuvée from Cantina Terlano, (often considered Italy’s finest white wine producer) in Alto Adige.
Thanks to all those who came and passed Judgement! Stay tuned for our next wine event: Call My Bluff, where Thomas, Howie, Amy & Jeremy will lead you on a merry dance while you try & settle on the correct wine!!
